Single in Jacksonville, Florida and Love Dogs? Meet Jason Lake
I’m a professional dog trainer in Medford, Oregon, open to meeting the right person beyond my local area. If you call Jacksonville home, here is a more personal introduction.
A Real Introduction for Someone in Jacksonville, Florida
A good relationship has to start somewhere. If your somewhere happens to be Jacksonville, Florida, here is the important part: I live in Medford, Oregon, work professionally with dogs, compete in Schutzhund/IGP, and I am looking for a genuine connection.
My everyday life is rooted in Southern Oregon. I run a professional dog-training business, spend a lot of time working dogs, and compete in Schutzhund/IGP. I also enjoy photography, music, road trips, good conversation, and the kind of humor that makes an ordinary day memorable.
Why I’m Open to Meeting Someone from Jacksonville
The Southeast is a long way from Southern Oregon, and I would never minimize the logistics. At the same time, I built this site because I would rather be open to the right person than limit the search to one ZIP code.
My goal is not a long-distance relationship for the sake of having one. My goal is to stay open to the possibility that the right person may live somewhere I would not have found through a typical local search.
What Life With a Professional Dog Trainer Actually Looks Like
Dog Training and Schutzhund/IGP Are Part of the Package
Dogs are not a side hobby for me. Training is my profession, dog sport gives me goals to chase, and the people I train with are part of my community. A relationship with me does not require you to become a dog trainer, but liking dogs—and being comfortable with the fact that they are a major part of my life—would make things a lot easier.
Photography, Road Trips, Music and Everyday Adventures
I like a life that has projects and stories in it. Sometimes that means taking photos, sometimes it means driving somewhere new, and sometimes it is just music playing while I work on the next idea. I do not need constant excitement; I do want someone who is curious, engaged, and willing to make plans instead of always talking about them.
The Jacksonville questions I would actually ask
I do not want to pretend I know Jacksonville better than someone who actually lives there. If we started talking, I would rather learn the city through your experience than recycle a list of tourist attractions.
The first things I would probably ask
- What part of Jacksonville feels most like home to you?
- Are you more likely to plan an outdoor day, find live music, or discover a great place to eat?
- What would your dog say is the best thing about living there?
The Kind of Relationship I Hope to Build
Someone who likes a life with purpose
Dog training gives my life structure, goals, and a community. I connect best with people who have interests of their own, enjoy learning, and understand that a good relationship should add to two lives rather than erase either one.
I am looking for something genuine and long-term, but I do not believe the first conversation has to carry the weight of the future. The first step is simply finding out whether talking feels easy and whether we are both interested enough to keep going.
